at some point, beau can be found scribbling in her school assigned notebook with a frown, curled up on the ground outside winter dorm. she keeps checking her phone every so often, like she's waiting for responses, but other than that, she's very into whatever she's writing! or... drawing, maybe.]
[at first, she considers whether or not she wants to interrupt, but-- it has been several days since they last spoke. she has her own notebook tucked under one arm as usual as she approaches, the other hand holding her staff.]
Beauregard. I hope the week so far hasn't been too difficult?
[being stuck here is still awful and so many of them have been subjected to cats the movie.]
[beau blinks up at her, pulled out of her work. for a second she almost thinks it's caleb calling her - he's the only one who calls her by her full name anymore - but then she realizes.]
Oh. Hey, Lucretia. It's uh. Been a fucking week, but at least I don't have to go to physics. What's up?
but she takes a seat on the grass nearby, staff laid across her lap.]
Well, it's been a few days since we last spoke, so I thought that I should-- check in, I suppose. Make sure you were all right. [a slight pause.] And I meant to ask what you thought of this competition, now that we've received tasks for it.
I'm fine, yeah. Annoyed mostly? Suspicious? Talking to all the Dorm Heads didn't really help how much I don't trust what's going on. And the tasks seem like... I don't know, fillers. But I'm trying to do them anyway just to see what happens.
I've at least managed to get ours to provide some assistance for the others in the dorm, so-- at the very least, there's some willingness to help on his part.
[that's not much at this point, though.]
Have you found much of a variety in what others decided on, when you did them?
I think I've found one person doing at least one? So - I'm gonna... try to compare notes, whenever we get results. Taichi and I were talking about trying to narrow down what conditions go with which dorms.
[...] What do you mean you got them to provide assistance?
You too? He's kept himself busy. [that gets a little smile from her.] We discussed it as well, but came to no solid conclusions... as for the choices others made, two of them have been more popular, for obvious reasons. There might be a chance we can figure a few things out based on what seemed to be chosen the most.
[as for the assistance:]
Several people in our dorm are... unfamiliar with the sort of things they've found here, and that wasn't accounted for in the beginning. I told him he needed to provide more help.
[she says as if she knew what the fuck microwaves or phones were before coming here but it's Fine, she can mostly work with all of this.]
I can fault him plenty when he's part of some place that kidnapped us and threw us into school without any promise of getting back before we "graduate".
[she goes back to her notebook, absently.] All four? I figure having another one done doesn't hurt.
w0, thursday

[grouches.] Amazing that you got that much.
Have you done the task itself yet? Like, any of them.
no subject
[but this is coming from someone who has primarily used her title for the last while, so. she gets trying to remain purely professional.]
But I have done it, yes, with a small handful of others.

[she knows where her own preferences lie, so-- she's more or less stuck to them.]

[...] I picked Love, so we'll see where that goes.
no subject
[everything has been out of love. it isn't the only one that appeals to her, but if she has to pick just one-- that's it.]
That and Hope are the ones I've generally asked, so... I suppose I'm missing both Compassion and Strength from the list.

So I guess we discuss a conflict we're dealing with. Hah. That's a - loaded bow, I guess. [she simply does not want to do the other one!]
no subject
If you'd rather not talk about it-- well, we don't have to choose one of the remaining two.
no subject
Yeah. I don't know - it's either that or I can ramble about Fjord for like five minutes, I guess.
no subject
[an equal enough exchange, considering it's probably easier for both of them to talk about people instead.]
