He also asked if I was sure that display wasn't actually part of sending her to this 'student conduct office', though if it is, that's... a pretty fucked up way to do things.

[rubs face.] I mean, whether it is or not it's sending her to the 'student conduct office' it doesn't matter, she's dead. That's way over the fucking top, yeah. I guess this is an ancient tradition thing? Like someone gets murdered and the whole trial bullshit thing is how they handle it.

Chad mentioned the same-- and that they're unable to affect those traditions. He was open to other suggestions on how to attempt to stop future murders, but given the amount of swords already here, refusing to accept transactions for weapons wouldn't actually end up helping.

At best, it cuts down on the number of weapons but harms any goodwill they have with people who want their belongings, and I don't feel like he in particular needs that, either.
