When I talked to him last night-- I asked if he actually wanted to fight in the expulsion. If he would put the effort forth himself or if only his body would be. And I told him... if he thought that he was about to kill someone, and he didn't want them to die by his hands, I told him to signal me somehow and I would try.

I always intended to try to protect whoever he was up against, but I hoped he would help.

...it's hard when they aren't themselves, or they aren't totally in control. I'm just glad he was able to break through enough to know he was going to cause more damage than help.

So am I. I thought--

I wanted him to be able to do that, in the end. It wasn't exactly his fault.

It wasn't, but...I don't know. I don't really know how to feel about most of it. It wasn't his fault, but it still was in a sense.

[he wouldn't say it out loud to most people but he thinks lucretia will understand.]

It was still his actions, even if he was influenced in some way.

Has anyone told you he might not have been the first to have that happen to him?

Not...exclusively...but people speculated in trial kinda. What do you mean?

I can't really-- there are specifics I can't go into. But as far as I've been informed, he isn't the first person to kill and not really be fully aware.

I think there should be more information on that going out soon.

How exactly were you informed? How do we know it's true? And how can we be sure there'll be more information going out?

How exactly I know it's true is one of the things I can't tell you-- it wasn't me, I will say that much, this isn't a personal experience kind of answer. But there should be more information because the person who passed it to me wants to put it out there, to try to help sort things out for the next time.

So-- you shouldn't need to circulate this, that should be taken care of fairly soon, but I thought that you should know.

I can't point you to anyone involved, but I was told they didn't truly realize what they had done until after trial was over.

[which is- a large part of the reason she's not naming them, too.]

Regardless of which it was, they don't need to be pursued.

Maybe not pursued, but we should talk to them if they think they were possessed while killing somebody.

I know, but that isn't exactly my call to make right now.

Yeah...[...hm.] Do you think there's a reason it's only affecting some people and not others? Hanayagi, Rupert and Byleth all seemed to remember just fine.

That's the other part of the theory: that these incidents are actually separate from those cases. That there's more than one reason people kill.

So what, someone decided we're not killing fast enough so they're possessing people to make sure it happens?

It sounds as likely as anything else, honestly. Especially if what they want is more drama.
