lucretia is sitting on top of the desk in this room. one arm's still in a sling, her voice still sounds terrible. she has purple streaks in her hair now though and it's cute i just needed you to know.]

All right. So-- I spoke with Sieghart yesterday, and we only had a couple of minutes to speak, but... this is what I was able to get. Some of the things we need to know, they weren't fully aware of either, and some of the questions... he needed to dodge, I think. We couldn't get very direct answers on some of this. I worked in as many of the questions I was given as I could, I compiled some notes as you can see here, but if you have further questions... I'll do my best to answer. Let's see if this helps with anything.

Additionally-- Kon, go ahead and tell them what happened this morning. That's going to give us... some idea of where to go too, I think, but it's not going to be great.

That's what I'm sayin', Caleb. In his case, it seems that he might have his own thing goin' on. That's what Molly said. It's not like this place possessed him...it might have triggered what he had mentally, and that's why he killed.

His exclusion from lying and making things up is just curious to me, that's all. We are taking Caiman's word for it, but no one else's, I see?

I personally did believe him when he said he couldn't remember, even though he killed someone very dear to me. But I also don't think we're being lied to by anyone else, exactly. Particularly not someone who was willing to risk their life to try to tell us the truth.

Like, I think we're agreein' on the same thing. Caiman has his own deal. I don't think that the outside Caiman we knew was lyin'. But there's someone inside of him that could. Either way, I don't think we should focus on him. This...all seems so inconsistent.

You are the one who brought him up in the first place. Yes, he's a different case. All I am saying is, we would be wrong to give him benefit of the doubt but refuse to extend it to others.

Shit. I'm bad with words, Caleb. I'm just trying to make the distinction between brainwashed and downright possessed here. Forced means the latter, but...I don't think our killers are like super evil people. I won't. I believe they're all trapped by this evil place that wants them to play roles that makes them believe in them, and they all think they're doin' something good.

Now, I'm worried about possession, and shit, I would rather die if it meant nobody would have to go through that.

. . . I think your mistake is in assuming brainwashing is the only alternate explanation. From what I can tell, their motive to save people may be something real. The dead want us to protect them, after all. And the Dorm Heads all sort of suggested that if they were following orders that weren't really true, what happened to Adora would not have happened when she spoke up.
