["Why is everything always about balance..." this is always a lowkey question even if he does, actually, understand why. for the most part. so instead he's busy trying to understand the planar system.]
Does it take a lot to keep it balanced? Or is it kind of self-sufficient that way outside of extreme cases?
It's self-sufficient, yes, unless it's disrupted-- but if it is, the consequences are usually... well, rough. Interfering with them can eliminate life on the Material Plane.
[so interfering means the plane can be destroyed.]
...that other world and our world were linked together, so we had to do a lot to keep it balanced, too, otherwise both worlds would be destroyed. So I get it.
It doesn't surprise me there are other places like that, but they're just different enough.
Enough so that I think yours must not be a part of our reality. Either way, it's--- good to know that ours isn't the only one where these things are possible.
I knew that other worlds were out there, but I didn't think about the possibility of meeting people who could travel to them, too. Even back home it's only a few specific people who can go to that other world.
I haven't met everybody here, but maybe there are others, too.
[he shrugs and doesn't clarify what he's shrugging to.]
Our group's been separated before. Even if time isn't slowed down or stopped for whatever reason, the others will take care of each other until we can get back. But I don't mind that he's here.
[neither of them should be, but he does like it more than he'll let on. yamato's one of the few of their group he trusts to be in a situation like this and not be at a disadvantage.]
I hope none of us have to miss much. I'm pretty sure everybody's in a situation where they couldn't exactly afford to leave right now. [a pause...] But yeah. I can't say I'm not glad about that too.

But how do you change the system?

[it's the kind of thing she wouldn't blame people for keeping to themselves, but... worth checking out.]

Three, actually. One of my friends is here, too.

[it's not the first time she's heard friends mentioned, so-- some of them had more luck in that sense.]
I'm sure it's not ideal for both of you to be pulled away, but-- hopefully it'll be good for the two of you not to be here alone.

[she tends to sound very serious, for the most part, but the tone of that is warmer.]
But if this goes well, the two of you shouldn't have to miss much.
