I know the type, though I'm sure you can see how and why that might be.
[lucretia 'i'm just going to introduce myself by my title forever' mcprofiledoxxed.]
But... getting more of us to talk to him could help, too. He told me he'd never expected or asked for any of our trust, and that there was no point in asking for it if he couldn't solve our problem yet. That words could be empty.
[she shakes her head, there, flipping a few pages.]
I'm at least trying to convince him he should be-- a little more open with everyone, and that he doesn't have to have all the answers. If they can see he's making an attempt, then it might be good for all of them.
Yeah. I know the type, too. ["my human best friend is also tsundere."]
He pretty much said the same thing to me, and...I probably didn't help much. I've been trying, but it's hard to answer him sometimes. Especially when we still have so many unanswered questions.
But that would be better than nothing. All of us want answers, but even if he just says he's trying that should help convince people he's not trying to actually work against us. That seems to be the bigger problem.
I can't begrudge people their suspicion in this situation, I really can't. It's true that all of them truly could be in on... everything happening here, but neither is it lost on me that they weren't involved at all in the weekend's events.
[there's just as much chance, if not more, that they aren't secret masterminds or something, and-- well. chad's a teenager. sure, the greatest detective of her world is like twelve, but competency doesn't mean not needing support.]
I'm sure some of them see him as unwilling to try to help because of his personality.
Yeah. All four of them were taken out of the picture and given a summary about what happened. Kind of seems like if they're meant to be involved they don't even know it yet.
[huff.] ...Chad told me he doesn't have friends and more or less keeps saying there are better people to spend time on than him. I don't know what the deal is, but it's part of the reason I keep trying to talk to him. [because yeah, he is sure half of the dorm would give up.]
Well, he hasn't quite hit that point of self-deprecation with me, but I'll bear in mind that it's in there.
[she's hardly paying any mind to the book, now, fingers tapping idly on it.]
I think he isn't the type to want to make friends in this situation. If you prefer to have a professional distance, having people you oversee get too familiar is, frankly, the nightmare scenario.
I think he only told me because I asked. But I got that impression, too. Which is totally stupid by the way. If we're going to be working together then the professionalism shouldn't matter as much.
I've asked him some stuff...I wanted to find out what he was looking to study in university and I've asked him some other stuff. Sometimes he answers, sometimes he doesn't. I'm pretty sure he's humoring me at this point.
[but that's okay. taichi's mo is to be in other people's business and backflip away from his own.]

[so by her estimation-- still pretty understandable.]

[god knows he will need it with chad.]
Have you asked him about much else?

[thank you for trying to mom our dorm head.]
