That does sound pretty easy. [wishes can be different things, so he can agree with that.] Is it different than some of the stuff we've talked about before? What's the wish?
I'm sure we've spoken along similar lines before, just maybe not in as much detail.
[she considers a moment.]
I suppose that mine is, largely, to save the world, but-- it's both to do that, and for the people dearest to me to be together again once it's been saved.
[that undetermined emotion from earlier is a little stronger, there, more identifiable-- loneliness. it blends with a little guilt, as she answers, but there's still a determination there.]
[it's a nice wish, he thinks, because he's very much pro-world-saving and people-togetherness. it's why the loneliness gets a bit of confusion from him and he regards her quietly for a second.]
Of course it's magic. Of course. [OF COURSE. WHY NOT.] But I guess that makes sense. Spells and magic can always be undone, can't they? Versus something you do for yourself.
...it feels stupid now after everything we've seen, but I do still wonder if there's such a thing as a wish at the end of all of this. And if there was, it would then be a question of what limitations there are.
[...hm.]
I think you'll manage to do everything you need to do when you get back.
It's a thought, right? I don't even know if any of us would want anything from this place after everything we've been through, but...even having an option might not be so bad.
[but he pauses, a brief blip of uncertainty and confusion before he speaks again.]
[they sure would be valid!!! but also huh. wow. a wish.]
...I dunno. Graduate from high school's pretty much at the top of my list. [it's a joke, but also that sure was questionable for a while. sometimes things happen and you're not sure you'll ever get that chance.]
I still want a way that I can be with my friends for the rest of my life. Not just the human ones, but the digimon. I don't know if that's a wish or that's a goal though. Maybe both?
So what you need is probably a better connection between your worlds, that's easy enough to traverse to prevent you from being separated for so long... I think that seems like a reasonable goal, to me.
Koushiro could probably figure it out with enough time and resources. We've managed to make gates before, but a lot of the time we get there and get back on accident or when distortions appear. Being able to do it on purpose and being able to be with them is a whole other thing.

It'd be just like this place to make him do it. But then again, the only other options are people I don't want to see get involved either.

[she just. shakes her head, there. yes, it'll be hard if it's not spring too, but they're-- she's closest to her dorm.]
no subject
There's probably going to be multiple bodies. So even if someone from spring kills, there's another killer, probably. [stop saying probably.]
We can't even do anything because whoever it is can't tell us, can they?
no subject
[so that's great!
after a moment, though:]
But-- let's not linger too much on that for now. Have you gotten started on your tasks yet?
no subject
Not yet. I was still trying to figure out which ones I wanted to do. Have you decided?

...that includes with you too, doesn't it?
no subject
[but, well.
maybe that's going to take time. she doesn't know yet.]
no subject
Do you think wishes can actually work?
no subject
[the spell 'wish' literally exists. but.]
Personally, I'd rather not use one for myself. I've been done with waiting to have my problems fixed for me for-- a while, now.
no subject
Of course it's magic. Of course. [OF COURSE. WHY NOT.] But I guess that makes sense. Spells and magic can always be undone, can't they? Versus something you do for yourself.

...if I had one here, I might not reject it entirely, but I would be much more likely to just use it for someone else's sake.

[determination, again, mixed with restlessness. it feels like she's been away for so long.]
That's why it doesn't particularly matter to me if there truly is one waiting, but it might still help others.
... what about you, Taichi?
no subject
[but he pauses, a brief blip of uncertainty and confusion before he speaks again.]
What about me, like...my wish?
no subject
[and they'd be valid to do so!]
But-- yes, yours, if you don't mind sharing.

[she's just observing him, a little curiously.]
The digimon must be-- from your other world, right?
