I'm in chairs all day for class. Sometimes it's nice to be able to stretch out.

I didn't feel like going back to the dorm, and the field's still a little weird by myself. [sometimes you find a dead body in a place that made you happy and that's hard to forget. nevertheless, he seems to notice that adjustment, but he doesn't comment on it. he thinks it's the same way he hopes nobody mentions the fact he's wearing his jacket consistently now.]
It could help. I'm starting to think we have to be more open about what to expect in order to expect it.

You might not be wrong. I've heard a couple of theories discussed, as well, and while it might muddy the waters somewhat to bear everything in mind-- I think the more open-minded we are about our possibilities, the better off we should be.

You heard what Sieghart said, didn't you? I think he's right that this is going to happen again. Probably soon. I think it's important that we keep playing along though to figure out a good solution.

I'm going to try to convince Chad to spend a little more time around the rest of us, and perhaps that will help prevent whatever happened to him last Thursday from happening again. At least we might have some evidence of whatever the hell it was.

He pretty much said the same thing to me, and...I probably didn't help much. I've been trying, but it's hard to answer him sometimes. Especially when we still have so many unanswered questions.
But that would be better than nothing. All of us want answers, but even if he just says he's trying that should help convince people he's not trying to actually work against us. That seems to be the bigger problem.
I can't begrudge people their suspicion in this situation, I really can't. It's true that all of them truly could be in on... everything happening here, but neither is it lost on me that they weren't involved at all in the weekend's events.

I think he isn't the type to want to make friends in this situation. If you prefer to have a professional distance, having people you oversee get too familiar is, frankly, the nightmare scenario.
I think he only told me because I asked. But I got that impression, too. Which is totally stupid by the way. If we're going to be working together then the professionalism shouldn't matter as much.
